I am thinking of getting a new toy since I seem to be running an archaic setup here

I have ordered a new laptop to replace my current one (older than Moses) and was thinking about getting an editing tablet to finish the upgrade.

I have been looking and not quite sure if I am looking in the right area. Aiptek has one that is 512 pressure point sensitive with a 12x9 pad and includes a pen and mouse for a more than fair price.

Is it worth the $149.99 they are asking? Does anyone use the editing tablets? and are there any recommendations for a fairly serious though unpracticed hobbyist?
