How bad was reverse grinding before you lost it? You don't just "loose" a gear...... it starts going bad long before it won't engage. My guess is you jammed in to reverse while your car was moving one too many times. You do know that the car must come to a complete stop before you engage reverse, right? Something like this is usually not a manufacturer's defect, catch my drift?
