Your slushbox changes gears at different rpms determined by how hard you are accelerating. If you stomp on the gas at a light, your car is going to stay in 1st gear until almost the red line...basically WELL beyond 3k and past 5k....

Fear not..rev the crap out of it. This is why you purchased a Prelude and not an Accord.
