it depends, diff cars has diff set up. I have a 5th Gen accord:
Shorter & smaller ones are for the front: larger coil/top, smaller coi/bottom.
Longer & bigger ones are for the rear: same as above.
I don't know for other cars though.
On the springs, there should be lables, F/R are for Front and rear. SOMETIMES, manufactures also lable L/R for Left and RIGHT, so look on the springs to make sure. 
he has an integra and thats not the setup for civic/integras.
