If you want to get super technical, the fenders and hoods from '84-87 CRXs don't work with Civic parts, and at the very least the '88-91 hoods are different on the CRX. Still doesn't change the fact that the unibody design forward of the A-pillar is nearly exact. Nearly.

As for badging, Honda changes things all the time, woopty-do. Add a word, subtract a word, add a hyphen, take it out, etc.
