yeah yeah, its not the tea, it refers to the tapioca inside the tea.

but "boba" does not mean tapioca balls. nor could the actual meaning EVER possibly be confused with anything remotely associated with that type of tapioca. it is a term that some really stupid person decided to coin. so again i ask, does anyone know what "boba" REALLY means?
