if its not possible or practical to go with a larger diameter hole, then id suggest filling the hole with jb weld or some other cold weld compound and then drilling it out to the specified hole diameter and then tap it with the same thread and diameter size the original bolt was and when u do it use some type of thread locker like Lock-tite or other over the counter permenant adhesive.
