Default did the conversion this weekend too

I guess I haven't been reading this board very long; this is the first time I've seen these 9005 conversion ideas.

Installed the Silverstars over the weekend; $40 after rebate at Pep Boys. Several comments, including one that was probably unstated:
- much whiter light output
- much brighter output
- I was a little concerned about blinding oncoming drivers. But changing bulbs -- whether staying with 9006 or going with brighter 9005 -- does not change the aiming. I put tape on the wall indicating the light dispersion; same before and after, except much brighter. So if you weren't already blinding drivers, you wouldn't with the Silverstars.
- I used a Dremel tool; took about 2 minutes per bulb. I figured better than a soldering iron; that burning plastic smell.... But the grinding generated a lot of plastic dust anyway.
- I was wondering whether to go with the regular Sylvania 9005, which would be $18. But I saw enough positive comments on the Silverstars, so what the heck.
- did I mention whiter and brighter? Wow, the OEM 9006s are pretty anemic.:booty:
