haha, yup otherwise your ECU is pulling timing dynamically, jumping the timing connector (CEL code connector). Makes the ECU use static timing.

The jumper is also used to get the CEL to flash the codes, do a search for that, to find a description of the jumper. Maybe I'll take a picture in a couple of days.
