I've hit the rev limiter probably in excess of a thousand times since I've owned my car. BTW that's 100% serious. Anyways if you're trying to drive while bouncing off the rev limiter yeah that would probably kill the motor after a while but hitting it on the 1-->2 shift or at say the top of third or fourth isn't going to wipe your motor. I'm certain Honda built enough saftey into the car not to have to worry too much when running hard.
