Well after reading all of this i decided to do a conversion myself- 20 bucks a bulb at autozone 24.99 at checker - i installed one silver star and one oem and there is a huge difference in color - i can't wait till tonight to see if its brighter- i highly recommend that if you do this use a soldering stick/gun thing - i tried every knife in the house - and razor blades and it took me an hour to get one done - and i even busted off the top tab =( - i ran out to the hardware store bought a soldering thing for 12.99 and finished the second one in 2 minutes - i'll let you know how it runs tonight
