Well, not sure whats causing this...
I have a 99 LS. Got it really damn cheap at a dealer. Only problem was the steering wheel didnt return to center in the right spot. So before pickup I had them do an alignment job (which they did for free). All's great, but the car does something really odd at 50mph now. It starts rattling like crazy behind the passanger seat. Sounds to be from the rear wheel. And it only seems to do this only when it goes over bumps or gets going over 50mph. Doesnt shake the car really, just rattles. Sound like metal on metal tapping. Du-duu-duu-duu-duu. I looked closer and found the metal piece running from the rear control arm to the passanger door is brand new (I dont know the name for it ). As of only weeks ago. Now, the rim has been bent and is probably warped. And the tire has bad wear due to too much negative camber. I test drove it before and it did fine. Is it possible when they did the alignment they may have given it too much toe and now the unbalanced wheel is hopping?
