it has more to do with the fact that i know what the engine is capable of, and i also built it from scratch. in building it, i got a good idea of what goes on at high rpms.
not to mention ive already put my engine thru some really rigorous testing, including running a constant 30% lean for about 4 months, and beating on it at a high level simultaneously.

imo - if it was gonna pop, it woulda popped 20,000 miles ago

plus building it was at least half the fun of driving it, so if i do blow it up, ill just pull it and rebuild it, and throw it back in.

ive pulled a number of 4th gen engines, and done a few dif swaps. i can pull an engine, rebuild it (assuming i have all the nec parts), and drop it back in the car, in about 3 days.
