I would call a serious :bs: on that. That makes no sense considering the Prelude uses cables to shift instead of a solid shift linkage. Also, I believe it is a hydro, which would add to the difficulty of the install. The 'lude transaxle should also be significantly bigger then the stock. There is no way he did that... think of it this way: if he had $1500, do you think he would have put in a 'lude transaxle instead of paying off the car or swapping the engine?

The transaxle code (letters and numbers) and the shifter mechanism. If it has a solid standard shift linkage going from the shoft lever to the back of the transaxle, he's BS'ing you. If it has no clutch hydrolics, he's BS'ing you. If the transaxle is covered in grease, it's been there for a while and he's BS'ing you. If you know what you are looking for, it will take about 3 seconds to tell.
