FWD trannies take Honda MTF or comparable or 10w-30. Rear wheel drive trannies can take 90w gear oil depending on manufacturer design, and rear wheel drive diff cases take 90w. Putting 90w in a FWD tranny normally leaves you about one shift before the oil expands with emulsified air and prevents the linkages from moving correctly.
