well I know for a fact that when the check engine light is on, and there is something that the computer "sees" as wrong, VTEC is affected.


It would drive normal..and then after 5000rpm, you would hear the other cams take over, but you wouldnt feel any power increase. As soon as the problem is resolved...you power is back....


I would tell the dealer exactly what you may have done, and let them look at the trouble codes...or anything else they might find.
