The boot next to my wheels is broken and leaking. is that a CV boot or joint boot? do i just need replace the boot or i need to replace the axle? do i need to take out the brake disc when i replaceing the axle or the boot? thanks
The CV boot is the rubber & the CV joint is inside that. Your better off replacing the whole axle since you have it out any way. The axle nut usually needs a 3/4" imact gun to break it loose, or a long ass pry bar. You do not need to remove the brake rotor, only move it some.
