we took the back seat out of my 95 sedan and if i remember correctly, you have to fold down the back of the seat first, take that out, and then you can get to the screws for the bottom part of the seat.

we did it for the same reason... running amp and cd changer wires. i'll check with those who helped me do the install, but i'm pretty sure that's how we did it.
