i just recently checked my timing and there are no markings when the light flashes so i tried adjusting my timing retard and advance and no matter which way i go there are no markings, could my timing be really advanced or really retarded to the point you cant see it on the pulley. a local speed shop installed my crower cam, and when they installed it the cam was set at 9' advance. but according to the cam card its supposed to be on an intake centerline of 106' if using the "lobe center" method. so right now my idle is kinda low sometimes like between 200-500 and sometimes its regular for a little while. my engine is a d16y8 auto and i do have a new IAC valve, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, ignition, clean filter and vacuum lines. what could the problem be? maybe the cam/ignition timing is off? what would you recommend i set the cam at and my timing at?
