What's up? You have more issues than just clutch type with your swap. Your best bet is to get the 2nd gen hydro clutch B16A. There is a conversion harness that basically uses your clutch's slave clyinder to move the cable mechanism (the link posted above). I've never used one, but they seem to work and you need a special upper mount to locate the upper tranny mount. The kit in the link above would work with an EG ('92-'95 Civic) but I don't think it will with an EK (different upper tranny mounts) so that's pretty much a bust anyway.
Another issue your going to have is the wiring. First gen B16A's will have a pre-OBD wiring harness. Your '98 is OBD II. No JDM engine is going to have the proper sensors (specifically the crank position sensor but I believe there are others) to allow you to use an OBD II ECU. You'll will most likely need a conversion harness and an OBD I B16A ECU (P30 I think) or a OBD I SOHC VTEC ECU (P28) that is rechipped with the B16A program. Another choice is the B16A2 from a '99+ Si. If you use the Si's engine wiring harness/ECU that should work. Will be pricey, but you'll have at best a 4 year old engine as opposed to a 13 year old 1st gen cable B16A. Seeya.
