again, I'm pretty sure the first batch of I4 7th gens (2003), where assembled in Japan. By now, they are probably being built in Marysville, Ohio, just like my 6th gen.

My 02 6th gen I4 is 80% American 20% Japanese. The alternator is made by Denso, the distributor is made by Hitachi, and the starter motor is made by Mitsuba. I'm pretty sure that the Auto tranny was first made in the US in 2001. I heard that somewhere, because there was a problem with one of the suppliers not using the right material for one of the components for the tranny, causing that big recall they had for the 01 I4 accords. :dunno:
