In Md I know if you deny the breathalyzer you do get your license taken away for X amount of time but there is no court hassle I don't think. For DUI you will get your license taken away and then you need a lawyer which will cost your $10,000 or something.

I know each option sucks, but denying is the lesser of the evils so I hear from many people, including those who have gotten DUIs.
