Default What are you rolling on 17" or 18"?

I keep on going back and forth with rims size. I would like to go with 18's on my 2000 coupe but I'm afraid of what I have heard about 18's (decrease in gas, turning radius, acceleration, ride quality, and breaking). My biggest concern is ride quality especially in NJ. I was going to put 225/40/18 with Eibach Pro-Kit and Tokico Blue. This car is a daily driver and not for show or racing so I don't need anything fancy just something that will ride close to stock or should I just screw it an go with 17's with 215/50/17. Let me know what wheels/tire/shock/spring set-up you would recommend.
Thanks
