Default Type R springs?

Can I use same year type r springs on my 97 coupe? Anyone know where I can get them? Anyone have them? They are a bit stiffer than USDM, or am I just being a noob?

i believe so. the springs are a bit stiffer and a little lower than stock ride height for your car. USDM and JDM stock ITR springs should be the same.

There are lots of guys/girls (have to be politically correct now) that have lots of experience and are helpful. I agree with you and that's one of the perks of HAN. Although there are some out there who can be asshats.

Personally, I would suggest getting H&R OE Sport springs designed for your car instead. Your ride heights might be a little strange with the ITR springs.

yea, putting ITR springs into your car would be kinda useless... you can get better by going aftermarket.

I'm not sure they'll fit, i know the 3rd gen tegs and 5th gen civics are interchangable for the most part but i'd think your car would actually have a HIGHER ride height. The ITR weighs more than your car and therefore needs stiffer spring rates. I think some people had this problem putting SI springs on their ex's.
