Default foglamp bulbs

looking for H3 yellow bulbs. anybody have experience or have any reccomendations?


saw the PIAA ION yellow bulbs...but it seems to have that funky purple ring to them. i just want a bright yellow/gold bulb.

So I guess you fired them up?

PIAA ION CRYSTAL.



They come out Yellow

yup....all wired up and running.


....so on the ION CRYSTAL....there's no other colors besides yellow projecting? i dont want any shades of blue or purple...even on the edges h:

Not sure, but if your housing is ION Yellow, anything you put in there might give you that shades of blue edgyness...

I heard that Hella Yellow Star H3 bulbs are good and for their price, are the best... pretty hard to locate them though...

nope...housing is all clear.


but i saw the bulbs...the glass has a purple and pinkish haze next to the ion yellow color on the bulb. thats why im asking if anyone has had any experience with the bulbs. h:

hmm...i may look into that. i want that Lexus IS300 foglamp look. BRIGHT ASS CRISP YELLOW



i wonder if Raybrig or CATZ makes any H3 yellows.

Raybrig used to make some cock diesel 100WATT H3 Yellow's... not sure if they are still on the market as well.

Catz has an H3 called "Rising Yellow"... again, tough to find.

I had those PIAA Ion Crystals in my Genuine Honda foglights. Because of the lens design, there isn't that "throwaway" light that the blue ion OEM-style lens emits. The light was more uniformly yellow. I will try to find them in my garage and reinstall them and take pics. Right now I'm using PIAA Xtreme H4s and H3s for a uniform appearance. My garage is a freaking mess so it may take awhile for me to find the Ion Crystal H3s.

i've used the PIAA ion yellows in my old clear fogs... to me, it seemed to emit a bluish/purpleish/pinkish look around the edges of the light beam.... but thats just me, I might have been on some weird sheit.....
