Default Poll: Which would you do??

I've been saving for an ITR swap, but there is a guy near me with a B18C1 swap (minus ECU). He wants my D16Z6 to put back in his car to sell it. My engine has 157,000 miles. He'll take mine out, and put his in for $3500. Motor comes with skunk2 intake manny too! Engine has 35K miles on it

What would you do?

I'm for the B18C1 but that's just me. I want to do things like boost and n2o, and the ITR motor is built for none of the above. Plus the ITR is a good bit more money.

No matter which one I go with I plan to stay NA. If I get the B18C5 I would not have to do anything to it. It comes with a lot better tranny too. But it would be almost twice as much by the time I get it installed.

If you plan to stay N/A on either one you get I say go for the c5...you'd be more satisfied with it if you're not going turbo, etc.

That's a lot for a C1 especially when you're giving your Z6 to him. Sounds fishy...

For N/A, I say C5. I'll help you do that install man :goodjob:

well to me the Z6 is worthless with that kind of mileage. Still runs great though. I'm now hearing different stories about this motor being turboed. I'll wait for the ITR, who knows maybe someone will have K series swap mounts ready by then.

If he can do it for about $3000, I'd say it sounds like a good deal.

I autocross and I'm picky, so getting a swap without the LSD is out of the question for me... I'd wait, especially if you're hearing scary stories about the car's history...
