Default d16y8

My co-worker wants to build his 97 civic that has the d16y8 motor. I told him to build the motor with higher compression since he is staying with naturally aspirated. what type of pistons,rods,cams,valve/springs,etc. should he get and after doing this would adding NOS work well also. I also, told him that we could use the zc pistons and put the vtec head on the car,That would be simple to do. he would need the ecu and run some extra wires. opinions?????

he has the vtec head already if he has a y8. also, I think zc pistons only fit in older d-series, but I may be wrong, but who cares when they make forged pistons specifically for the y8?

you might as well save the money that you'd put into the motor cause you'll need a new one
