Default gaskets & Ignition setup on a B18B

Hey yo,

I bought my B18B & tranny this weekend and I have it on the engine stand, I am replaceing all the gaskets, port&polishing and some other msc stuff. But what I wanted to know was everyones feed back on gaskets for the engine. Is it better to stick with OEM gaskets or is it ok to go aftermarket? In specific the head gasket.

Also I am going to upgrade to a new ignition system. I have Crane in mind for now with MSD wires, new cap and rotar. Any input there would be appreciated.

Thx

Go with OEM for the gaskets.

depends on how much you plan to boost. if you want the same compression, stick with OEM...

dont forget to change all the pumps and belts too

Yea I am not sure about the boost yet, I have all new belts and pumps, forget how much all this stuff costs. Adds up quick.
