Default '94 civic esi

Hi all civic owners,
i'm new to the forum. am happy to find it.

just recently bought a 94civic. it's a japanese model as i'm living in asia. plan on cleaning it up to near new condition, with maybe a few mods. ie header pipe, exaust, shocks, with maybe an engine build a few years down the track.
i have a couple of questions, the engine is a d16 i believe,
want to know at what rpm should the vtec cut in.
also trying to replace an indicator bulb on the side front fender, having a little difficulty, should the lens slide fwd/aft then lift out.
thx

i believe the ecu kicks it in a 5400.
that awsome, btw, that you can drive on the right side of the car!! i wish my car had that.
also....there should just be one bolt up top in the engine bay, and once that is taken out the light should just slide out the side. then the bulb just twists out of the socket.

VTEC should kick in at the same RPM everytime the transmission is in gear...WOT or not. I've also heard 5-5.2k.
