Cause it's a pain in the ass, and more expensive than buying one. If it's done by a shop, they may not do a good job, and it may not be safe in a crash...


Do a search on google for auto importers in your area. I did it and found a list of them in my area. They should be able to help you out.

I live in north Houston, Ive contacted some auto importers and they said if it isnt on the NHSTA list of cars available for import then they gotta crash test the RHD model to make sure it meets up to the safty requirements of DOT and everything and Ive heard it costs to much. But Ive seen people with Type R's RHD over here and they arent on the list... so I dont know how they did it. And about converting mine.... too much money to do that and it wont be as safe if it is in a wreck once everything is welded back together....

refer to ImportTooner for all your RHD questions. He's been trying for close to 5 months now to get his RHD JDM Type-R legalized and he says its a pain...
