93's are the worst year. 95 and up would be my choice.

My Sol was a 93 auto. At one point, I even had the GReddy Civic turbo kit. You can do things like f/i, nitrous, ect.... but that tranny will only hold so much. I disliked the auto so much, I ended up swapping out the D16Z auto for a B18C 5-spd.

Honestly....if you want to save yourself a lot of hassle and a bit of $$$ don't get that Sol. Hold out and find a 5spd, or even the VTEC.

I hope you really like automatics, or you are going to regret buying it in the near future. In the performance department, Honda automatics are pretty useless.

If the engine was replaced at 100k miles, the owners probably abused it pretty bad. A well maintained Honda engine should easily last 200k with few exceptions.

Get a Carfax report on any car before you buy it. It gives useful information, and will usually tell you if the odo has been rolled back, if it has been crashed, flood damaged, etc.
