What material will they be printed on?

My first thought was just a transparency sheet...but I'm still not decided. I'll be going out today to get everything I need, and I'll be doing test runs on several different materials to see what comes out the best.

If I remember correctly, a few years ago someone did custom guages and had Kinko's print them out on a transparency sheet. I THINK it was Kinko's, but I'm not sure. Just something to keep in mind of your printer can't do that sort of thing.

Well I know my printer can do it, but I also know it will do a shitty job on it lol. So ya, I'l probably use Kinko's for the final product once I figure out what I'm going to print on.

The blacked-out look reminds me of the Mazda6. The only way you can tell if those things are on is if the guages are lit up or not, they're too damn quiet.

I know what you're saying. Our 6gen Civic is like that. I glance at the tach once in a while to make sure I didn't shut it off.

Would a laser printer print on transparency? I have a bunch of transparencies that I can use and I know a laser printer would be very precise.

It might...I'm actually testing it right now. Both inkjet printers made a filthy mess, not that I expected them to work anyway lol.

If the laser doesn't work, then I can have them professionally printed, luckily for free.

you have to buy specific transparencies. I give presentations all the time and use transparencies that I print from my printer. I know for a fact that there are specific trans for inkjet...I am pretty sure there are some for laser too. I know that the ones for inkjet are a littly foggy...like one side (the printing side) has been sprayed with hair spray or something. But it should work, check it out.
