'Hey - its the new guy again. I know there is alot of mocking and what not about owners who have Altezzas. I dont plan on getting any for my Civic, but my question is why are they so bad and made fun of - if they are just lights? Will somebody please give me their opinion on why Altezzas suck so much...:awais:

 

Cheap materials and a played out look = a cheaper looking car. I used to have them, and everytime I think about it, it hurts my soul.

 

I used to have'em too. They were the CF type for my Civic and it didn't look too bad. Couple of reasons why I went Red/clear:thumbup.
1/ they attract attention from other ricers and cops.
2/ they offer a small amount of light at night
3/ the turn signal was too small for my taste. you could hardly see it during the day.
4/ not the best of fits
5/ they look :ghey:, it takes away from your car
6/ feable attempt to make your car something its not




red/ clear = clean

So, do you guys think that the Lexus IS300/Toyota Altezza is cheap looking?

i think EVERYONE should get altezza style tail lights
i think that would be fantastic... in fact get some apc "projector" headlights also.. that would look hot dawg

 

The Altezza is only made and should be only on the IS300/Altezza vehicle. Every car I've seen with Altezzas looks pretty much ugly. It takes the look away from the car and they are too "wild". Plus, EVERY damn car has it from imports, to domestic, to trucks, to luxury vehicles...so, it's played out. Would you want your car to stand out of it's uniqueness or be part of the ricers and Altezzas where nothing changes. Big universal mufflers, big wings, altezzas, clear corners and hyperwhites, no drop with 18s, etc...etc...etc...

They even look outta place on the RX300, especially the RX330's with the super clear "bling bling" tails. Damn that was cocky of them to make them soooo clear.
