Aftermarket Struts on Stock Springs
I have a 2002 Coupe with 17" Wheels & Toyo Tires, Neuspeed Front Upper Strut Bar & Rear Sway Tie Combo Bar & Poly Bushings for the stock front bar. I don't want to lower my car, but I was wondering if i bought aftermarket performance struts, if i would notice anything different over my factory struts?
Thanks

why don't you want to lower your car. Are you worried about sacrificing your stock ride?? Shitty roads?? You don't have to slam it.....just drop it an 1" or so with some quality aftermarket springs.
PS.... get Koni yellows

eibach pro-kit will drop it about 1inch and with your 17's it should return your ride hight to normal. And if you don't wanna spend 2 much money to get good shocks buy KYB GR2's their not to shabby at all.
cx power!

imo, there's no real point in getting aftermarket struts with stock springs. you'll just wind up with an over dampend ride. your handling wont improve appreciably. if you dont want to lower, but want better handling, invest in some anti-roll bars instead.
bigger rims + no drop = 4x4 style. not so hot. always makes me think "damn. this guy thinks he's so baller, but he couldnt afford the rims AND springs"
:edit: oops. u already get a rear sway bar =P

There was a time when I was planning on doing the same thing as you (sans big wheels) with just shocks, swaybars, bushings, and stock height... I gave in and lowered my car though.

Actually I know alot of people who do the aftermarket shocks and stock spring because the rules for autocross in stock class require it. I know guys who run triple adjustable Motons $1000 each shock
