Default Who here has painted their stock SideSkirts?

When I had my car at honda getting put back together after it was stolen, I asked the guy about painting the stock sideskirts and he said thay it wouldn't stick to the material right and would flake off really easy. Has anyone heard of this and is there a sideskirt that looks stock that can be painted? BTW this is a 1999 2door Civic EX.Thanks.

When using these walmart spray cans, how did you manage to get the color right? I mean I know you got red for a red car but there are so many shades. Anyone do this on a grey civic like mine? Is there a noticeable difference in the color?

i painted mine myself at first
i got it professionally painted only because i couldn't match the paint.
