Ya, it kinda limits my LSD options... Oh well, if only I had more of these types of problems.

Actually, the oem helical LSD is better than nothing. Cusco & Quaife are clutch pack LSDs, which are the best.

Actually, Quaife and cusco are helical torque-biasing differentials... just like OEM honda. Theyre not really technically "limited slip" because they allow the wheels to move at different rates under different load (like cornering with a wheel up, driving over patches of ice, etc...) hence the term torque biasing.

Clutch pack differentials are better for drag, and can often induce understeer in FWD cars by effectively locking the axles to eachother... (obviously one needs to move more than the other to go around a turn)

well actually Cusco only makes clutch pack LSDs. Now if you're referring to the spider gears, well most of the diffs have them. Being a Cusco rep, I know this product line. Also, Clucth pack LSDs are good for any type of driving. They are the best for how they push the power through the casing and onto the axels.

oh, I though cusco and quaife were both helical, I guess only quaife is. So i guess I should have said OEM is helical like quaife--Torque biasing. Clutch diffs are true LSDs.

How well a clutch type alows you to turn is largely dependent on how its adjusted (how many plates are engaging), the reason people often have understeer issues with a clutch type is because they have it set on too hard a setting. Only way to fix that is to remove the differential and re-arrange the clutch plates, which is more work than most people are willing to do. I agree that clutch types can be good for any type of driving, but many people are too lazy/confused to adjust them to the appropriate setting for theyre driving style.

I'm not sure about the other brands. The Cusco LSDs are custom setups. Mostly, for FWD it's only 1way, but can get 1.5way.
