I have a automatic 98 civic and my shit knob just pop off. I tried to put it back but the screw dosent want to go in or fit , something like that. I was wonder if anyone knows how to get this fixed? :eh:

anyways the screws came off and it kinda pop off because there is a spring there too. It didnt fly off if your thinking that.

Sounds like the screws aren't lineing up... just wiggle it around until it seems to fit snugg...

it's hard for us to know what the actual problem is. why won't the screw go back in? it shouldn't have come off if it was screwed in anyway.

I know when I still had the "T" and would take it off in the past... it doesn't go down all the way.. you have to play with it to get the screw holes to line up.

But I have no idea what would cause it to come off like that.

there should be a plastic thingy in the middle of the rod with a spring underneath it , it should be sloped (the plastic thingy). You need to put the lowest point on the button side and then work it back in.
