i've decided i want civi hatchback with an engine swap but i have no idea which engine will provide me the ebst power what is the best engine that i can swap into one of these cars i don't care if it's and stock normal engine or a vtec conversion im open to anything thx

could probably wedge a 97+ prelude engine in there...h22?

yeah, an H22 would be the fastest swap. Its quite a bit harder to install than a B-series though. Its also quite a bit heavier. Definitely the most powerful swap-in motor though.

i know my b series engines but does a h22 tune as well as the b series and do the head still flow as well?

yo jsut after typing that i was thinking will a k series engine fit in there is that possbile to wedge in bc those build great power and tunable

K series is possible, but very expensive, and very not worth it. The H22 JDM type-S motor makes 220hp and 156 lb-ft, stock I believe. It flows very well. Think of it as a B18C5 type-r motor only bigger.

hahaha good analogy man i think i would love that torque and on that engine it wont be jsut a simple drop in correct? or am i wrong will anyhting need to be custom made?

you'll need an H-series swap kit from HASport or Place Racing. It includes mounts and shift lingages, I dunno what else. If you call them, they'll tell you everything you need.
