I know it can be done. I don't know for sure if he will have to shave his calipers. I think he will.

hx rims will not fit a 96+ civic.. those civic's have integra front brakes. the hx rims will not clear them.

to make 'em fit you have to grind down the side of the caliper with a grinder. you have to remove just a few millimeters worth of metal, and then they'll bolt up.

good rims, nice and light.

but if you wanted to you could get older miata rims. 14's same lugnut pattern, but i'm not sure of the offset. the offset may be bad cause the miata is a rear wheel drive car, but the 14's are about 10.5 lbs, so they're lighter than the HX's.

i had 'em (hx rims) they were nice, but i went with 15's for more break options.

i'm glad i did too.

Seems like they would fit to me, my friends got them on his GS-R

I dont know it he modified anything, but the fit. I never looked to see how close the calipers are to the rims.

I thought all '99-'00 Civics have 14" wheels stock.
Dont the EX's have 15's

IMO, i think the HX wheels are very ugly. I guess if your going for lightness it dont matter. My friends are painted black, then again his car isa piece of sh!t. Maybe thats why they look like sh!t

But Hxs were '96-'00 Civics....they didn't have a Civic Hx prior to '96. Is it just that HX wheels will not fit any Civics after '96 that are not HXs??

HX rims should fit any civic/integra as long as you do the caliper shaving.
