Default Oil

Whats the best oil and viscosity to use on a 97 civic non v-tec engine 5 speed, with about 122000 miles. I drive my car pretty hard. I have headers,cat-back,pullys and cold air in take.

If you're car isn't fast to begin with...don't drive it hard, IMO though. Since you have good mileage, stick with dino oil, don't go synthetic. Castrol GTX, Pennzoil, Mobil, Quaker State, etc...are all good name brand motor oils. As far as the weight, that's mainly up to where you live and what kind of climates you encounter. Down here it's mainly hot and humid so I use 10/30.

I would run 10w30 or even thicker on a higher mileage motor.

Damn, time to break out the molasses for that one…congrats on the 122,000 though that’s some crazy shit driving it hard and all. Yeah, I’d definitely stick with the dino oil
