Default Strange Tranny Problem

It's been happening for a few days now on my '98 Ex Auto sedan (LX: American).. but only from time to time..

I rev up to about 3k rpm whenever I drive so no hardcore redlining, when I accelerate, the car sometimes doesn't upshift and keeps reving up to about 5k, then shifts.. seems as if there's a lag between the shifts.

Can anyone help me out? I recently did a major tune-up, tranny fluid changed..

it's either low on fluid, or the cable that goes to the TB needs to be adjusted.

Fluid. Flush it every 30k miles and your tranny will last a long time.

i think i remeber seeing something with 96-98 model years, where the trans doesnt shift fomr 1st or gets stuck in first and they all said something about some transmission seleniod that goes bad, try a search for that.

If the level is wrong it will do what you're describing even with new fluid. How many miles are on your tranny?
