I just had a quick question. Currently I have a DC 4-2-1 ceramic header, no CAT and a 2 1/4 mid pipe that goes to my R1 Racing muffler. It's loud..very loud... I want to make it quiet..If I put a stock muffler like say off a stock honda or acura on...will it drown out the noise from my exhaust? How will the engine bay sound? It's been so loud since i've heard a engine bay on a civic without having to try and drown the sound of a muffler...

 

should quiet it down some. maybe put a cat back on? :dunno:

 

Had a 12 or 14" resonator. That'll help a lot.

 

yea teh resonator will help but it will decrease ur power.. but if u want quite put it on... puttin a cat will make it louder cause i have a cat only and its loud ass hell...

 

There are hi-flow resonators now a days.

 

Try your idea, but i was thinking of a RSX Type-S muffler maybe. Im sure it will be WAY quieter and the power wont be hurt much.

Also maybe the CL or TL Type-S muffler or the Accord V6 muffler.
