Default so, my car broke today.

i was on the freeway, in really heavy traffic, and i started to overheat. so i got off the freeway and pulled over and when i stopped, steam was everywhere. popped my hood and the coolant was boiling and steam was spraying out of the radiator cap. oh, and as i was finding a place to stop, the engine was knocking pretty good. so i turned it off, but let the fan run. it cooled down (let it cool for about an hour), i made sure there was enough water in and then tried to make it home since i wasn't horribly far. i got kinda close but it was smoking a little and knocking really bad so i just pulled over and called my friend (i tried calling earlier but he wasn't home). so we just left it and i came home.

now, i don't know what to do. swap (that would probably be the cheapest) or just get a new car and either part this one out or try to keep it. i don't really have money or credit to just go buy a car, so it'd probably be a really crappy car. bah. dumb car.

sorry to hear man...

b18b and b16a swaps are pretty reasonable. you can always get a d16 very cheap nowadays if needed in a hurry too.

You've been having problems with you're car lately, i've seen. I also think you should just go to the nearest salvage yard, rent a lift and replace your motor, exact for same. It'll take no time at all, probably 1 day since all you will do is remove the same engine you're putting in.
