Default swap question

had a question about engine swaps.

first off, what's the stock engine for a 95 civic coupe EX?

and 2nd question is, if I DO get a swap, what should i swap too? and how much would it run me?

just getting some more info for the future

D16Z6 SOHC VTEC.

You should swap to something you can afford. The question is, how much do you want to spend?

Just use your D16Z6 for a while until you get your feet wet, and really know what engine you want. Read the forums here and search alot to decide which direction you want to go.

Most people go with B16's or B18's (Civic SI and Integra GS-R, respectively), because it is a bolt-in job on a 95. Expect the engine to run between $1000-2000 depending on condition and origin, and labor depends on where you can find to do it for you. Of course, you could DIY...

I wish people would stop saying that and just answer the question.... that's what I'm doing right NOW!
I don't have the money for anything expensive right now lol,
I'm just asking questions.
and people keep telling me to ask questions, yet when i do they say ask more questions and dont answer me

Stock motors suck... a swap is ALWAYS worth it in my opinion UNLESS you already have a B-series... since you're running a D series like me, go for the swap. B18c1 is what i reccomend for most power and easiest bolt in. I cant talk just yet though because my swap doesnt happen til next weekend. Also check out the b16's...

oh and to who said it.... 1000-2000, shiyat... where you get your B18C1's at?1?!?!?!?!

Aaah, so maybe 2000 is a little low for a b18c1. Closer to 2500-2700 for a good one w/ an LSD. b18c5's run what, 5k? Craziness... You can always check eBay, there's usually several. Also depends on if you want JDM or USDM.
