my friend has a 1998 civic and replaced the springs.. got R1 springs.. anyone heard of these? are they good?

anyways i think hes on stock shocks.. and the ride is REALLY bouncy when he drives.. like going over bumps and stuff..

also any info, input, criticism would be appreciated as the learning process always helps

 

are these the cheap ones on ebay goin for like 100?
i'd recommened Eibachs
great performance and a very forgiving ride
steep price though
but hey if u want the best, better drop 225+ for them

 

stock shocks and cheap springs will do that.

So you're saying that his ride is really bouncy right? Not harsh? Most likely, changing his shocks will solve his problems. HTH.

this next guy with a z24 i know just put eibach sportlines on his car.. stock shocks too.. when i asked him how it rode.. he replied
"bouncy..."

but he doesnt want to get new shocks until he blows the stock ones.. recommended actions by someone he knows..

Shitty springs give you a bouncey ride. My hatch never bounced on my Neuspeed Race springs, till my shocks blew.
