Skunk 2 is working on an SOHC camshaft for us right now...skunk2 adjustable cam gear...tru power pulleys make lil difference. Do you have a manual or auto? Jackson Racing lightweight flywheel etc. tons of stuff you can do

well I guess the pulleys would be external...good idea though if you don't have them already

Default jackson racing supercharger

I've always wanted the jackson racing supercharger but, everyone I know who had one,has nothing but problems with theirs and they also say it doesn't make a huge increase. JR claims the charger is for a stock motor. when you add intake ,header and exhaust, you'll need more fuel, and then the air/fuel mixture would change. JR told me that I would need nothing but a stock motor for this charger to work best. My friends have them and their cars are always breaking down, and running like shit. I don't want to be left o the side of the road. They also have all that extra bullshit, like cam gears, intake, header, exhaust, adjustable fuel regulator, etc. I beleive things like underdrive pulleys and an msd box would help give better performance without screwing with the chargers purpose. But anything else, would cause problems. what do you guys think?

first off, make sure you buy the Supercharger new...all the problems I've heard about have been from used superchargers. MSD gave me more complete combustion and a smoother idle. The gas milage I have experienced with the JRSC hasn't been too bad at all. Of course if you have the pedal to the metal all the time the gas is going to be gobbled up right before your eyes. Just have to drive it like the JRSC's not even there...if you have to speed to pass someone or somethin...go for it, you can.

when you bought your JR supercharger, did you buy the JR fuel pump too?? if so, I've always wondered,if the fuel regulator, injectors and ecu would need to be upgraded too,to allow the extra gas to make it to the motor. also, did you need to bypass the map sensor to keep the engine light off?

the kit came with a new fuel regulator. I'm thinking of buying the boost upgrade kit...fuel pump, map controller, new pulley (larger), and jackson spark plugs. Everything is workin out great...not sure about the bypassing of the map sensor (I didn't install it myself) but I'm sure my car felt like it had been raped for a while.

I've already upgraded my entire ignition system. would stock valve's work??

i think the 16 pistons and rods would up your compression and for a boosted app that wouldnt be good

you gotta remember when he told you about a6 pistons and rods you were asking for an all motor build. when you go all motor you usually keep compression high, but when you go boosted you generally want to maintain lower compression
