Uhhh...I wouldn't say that...there's still quite an abundance of B series engines left in the world.

Don't worry, it's not like the B16A3 is special.

not really true... now honda is stepping into the crate motor world kinda like chevy does ... god i would hate to see how much a brand new honda crate motor cost. if you figure a 50,000 mile b16 complete swap runs 1800 +..new from honda has to be more than what you payed for the car

If Honda started making crate engines, theoretically a B16A should cost almost much as a B18C

Then again, they might market some high performance crate engines better then ITR spec... haha, yeah right. This is Honda we're talking about. I'd love to see the B return, even if it is $6000 and comes in a wooden box.

A few companies are making aftermarket blocks off of the honda blue prints. How many years spanning how many decades were the B made?
It's like long block v-8's. As long as people want em, and can make power with them, they will be around. If not, time for someone to step out of the stoneage and get a K series.

Has anyone tried putting a K engine in a del Sol or a 6th gen. or earlier Civic? Seems like it would leave a lot of empty space...if it even fits.
