My friend is looking to buy a 2000 Si with that kind of a motor....you guys know anything bout this swap, problems, what to look for, etc??? The motor is a b12a2 (Si motor) with a b18 either top or bottom end....not quite sure the guy didn't really say....I'm a luder so i don't know jack about this, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

might be a ls/vtec... B18B block, B16a head.

yeah it's an ls/vtec, so anyone know if these are reliable?? the guy wants 11000 for it, good deal?

I would say, that unless you know who built the motor, don't buy it. LS/vtecs can be built to run ok for a while, but with very poor reliablility; or they can be built right with good reliability. I wouldn't buy an LS/vtec unless a reputable shop with lots of experience with hondas built it.
