Default Powerstop rotors + Axis Pads

Just jacked up my car today and took a look at what that grinding noise was. Passenger side inner brake pad was completely trashed - down further than the metal, which leaves me with a fawked rotor.

I decided I might as well bite the bullet and get new pads and rotors for both sides. I was going to go with Brembo blanks + AEM pads, but I would have to wait a week for them. My supplier said he could get me Powerstop rotors + Axis pads tomorrow for under $150 (the brembo + aem would have been cheaper off GBC/ebay, but I really need them ASAP).

Have you guys ever had any problems with powerstop rotors and/or axis pads?

Porterfield and Hawk pads are also good contenders.

I have axxis ultimates, and they seemed to be a little oversized at first. When installed, they would very gently rub the rotor w/o the brake applied. After about a week, they wore down a little and there was no problem. The braking is  good and strong, but still as smooth as OEM.

I dunno about power slots, but I notice my brembo slotted rotors make some funny noises :dunno: Everything works very well togeher tho.

Next time, I think I'll go with blank rotors. I really only got the slots because they look more than anything. Blanks probably brake just as well unless youre on a road course.
