ECU connector location on a 1.6EL

ECU connector location on a 1.6EL

I have a 97 EL and I need to find the ECU connector to see why my CEL is on. It supposedly to be under the glovebox but I can't see it anywhere. Do I need to remove the glovebox to access it?
Or am I looking in the wrong place?

look by the lower kick panel on the passenger side under the carpet in the right hand corner it a 2 wire gray hope this helps
